The Development & Resources Commission is responsible for the stewardship, facilities (both current and future needs), strategic planning (both short and long range), and the use of technology to keep our parishioners connected. To implement our vision requires prayer, leadership, community support via dedicated and involved volunteers, AND a Master Plan to allow judicious development and conscientious management of our resources.
Ministries in this commission include:

The Stewardship of Treasure invites us to see our financial resources as gifts from God and asks us to make a response based on our being grateful. The more we are aware of being blessed, the more we want to express our gratitude. This is the heart of stewardship:
Please give prayerful consideration to increasing the percentage and/or amount of your financial support of our Parish. Using the weekly envelopes helps keep us focused on Stewardship.

The Parish Finance Council is a consultative body of lay persons established to advise the Pastor in matters pertaining to the financial affairs of the parish. The relationship between the Pastor and the council is one of support and collaboration. The authority of the Pastor is not diminished by the establishment of the Parish Finance Council. The council sustains the mission and ongoing development of the parish community by providing the necessary administrative and financial skills. This ministry concerns itself with all parish resources, annual parish budget, parish support, and the effective use and maintenance of facilities.

The Money Counters are a group of adults who have been appointed by the pastor to count money collected during the Saturday and Sunday Masses. They open the offertory envelopes, record the amount of each donation, sort bills and coins and prepare a tally sheet that documents the weekly collection totals. The money counters work each Monday under the direction of the Parish Bookkeeper.

Blessed with 50 acres in the beautiful hill country, we strive to conserve and preserve the natural setting while developing the facilities to meet our needs. We maintain and renovate the physical plant as necessary to ensure the facilities are at a high standard. We strive to ensure the grounds are maintained to a high standard of aesthetic beauty.

Volunteer teams maintain the cemetery to reflect the beauty and serenity of the resting place for our beloved dead. The condition of the cemetery indicates our respect for generations past and as a future resting place for generations to come.

St. Joseph's Garden Club members strive to provide the upkeep and beautification of the landscape surrounding our parish. We feel the peace & beauty of the inside is enhanced by what is seen on the outside by using plants, flowers, and trees which accent the hill country's natural beauty and are adaptive to our climate, rainfall, and terrain.

In a world of high tech we strive to maintain a balance of “high-tech, high-touch” which allows those who are literate and adaptive to new technology, to access information in a user friendly automated manner, or allow them access to a human being to assist them. As more parishioners learn the ease of 24/7 access, we will be there with the technology to meet their needs.

As one of the fastest growing Catholic Churches, we need to adjust our infrastructure to meet these growing needs. We will soon distribute our Master Plan to all parishioners to show what we need to accomplish this in future years. As we move to increasing parking, adding entrances, securing entrances, adding roads, improving safety, constructing new festival area and meeting facilities, building a mausoleum, building a new Rectory, restoring the Chapel, and building a much needed Family Life Center, we will focus on meeting needs to allow the community to grow spiritually within the future infrastructure.
